Hey, Im Koda (short for Dakota) a film photographer, storyteller and mother to my sweet four year old son. Becoming a mother changed the way I see the world around me and the people I share it all with. It slowed me down, made me notice the quiet beauty in the mundane moments and has taught me how precious our time really is.

I started my photography journey when I found out I was pregnant with my son. I remember thinking “I want a different way of capturing these moments” so after this, I went straight online and bought my first point and shoot camera. That’s when it all started and the addiction became real. I realised how special it was to take your photos, send them off to a lab and impatiently, but excitedly wait for them to be sent back. This is why I love shooting exclusively on 35mm film. Every roll tells a story that’s imperfectly perfect, filled with emotion and nostalgia. I take memories that will last forever! Ones that you can look back on with your partner, kids, grandkids and the list goes on!
